Stewart Strawbridge, one of the founders of the investment organization Selkirk Partners, is committed to preserving local resources. Mr. Strawbridge is a board member of the Brandywine Conservancy and Museum of Art located in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. Stewart Strawbridge and other members of the board are dedicated to ensuring that the local environment and historical structures are preserved for future generations.

The Brandywine Conservancy and Museum of Art has successfully safeguarded over 62,000 acres of land and currently oversees land in Pennsylvania and Delaware. The conservancy is focused on making sure that land is used appropriately and that water is conserved.

In addition to its preservation activities, the conservancy manages the Brandywine River Museum of Art, where American art is displayed and celebrated. The art museum showcases pieces from local artists as well as illustrations and landscapes that mirror the conservancy’s goals. The art museum also provides educational opportunities to the public for a more in-depth understanding of the displayed pieces.
