An experienced investment professional, Stewart Strawbridge founded equity firm Selkirk Partners in 2008. In addition to his work in the investment sector, Stewart Strawbridge serves as a board member for several organizations, including the Portland Museum of Art in Portland, Maine.

The Portland Museum of Art (PMA) recently announced funding from a local donor to facilitate the building of a sculpture park scheduled to open in summer 2017. David E. Shaw, a local business professional and philanthropist, contributed the funds to make the project possible. In a statement, the family said it hopes the David E. Shaw and Family Sculpture Park will serve as an “artistic oasis” in the area as well as a mecca for the cultural arts.

PMA had wanted for some time to create a sculpture park in the Joan B. Burns Garden on High Street. The park will be free to the public and open all year long after its completion in 2017.
